Trials
The trials that Giuseppe Scalarini has been charged with have been countless, most of them have been print offences, but also for “having exposed the army to hate and disdain of citizenship” as well as “inciting hate between social classes and publicly insulting the army.” The trial documentation hasn’t been entirely collected because Scalarini didn’t take care of writing on his datebook (a notebook where all the salient dates of his life were reported) the date and place of his appearances in front of the judges. Some court files concerning the Milan Court (city where the artist did most of his work) weren’t found in the court’s historical archives.
